News prior to 2023

In August 2022, IIE is proud to announce its support of the Pledge for Equal Representation for Expert Witnesses. The ERE Pledge was created in 2021 as the sister pledge to the Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge (ERA) in 2015. It aims to:

  • Increase, on an equal opportunity basis, the number of women appearing as experts in order to achieve proportional representation and, eventually, full parity.

  • Support hiring, mentoring, and promoting women experts.

  • Create a coalition of supporters and advocates in the world of dispute resolution.

  • Encourage women to aspire to be expert witnesses in their chosen professions.

  • Give women who are, or aspire to be, expert witnesses, better opportunities to achieve their goals.

  • Widen the pool of expert witnesses available and enhance the reputation of expert witnesses.
On 2 June 2022, Institute of International Experts lead by President Dr. LEUNG Hai Ming, Raymond, Vice President Denys Look, Vice President Sr Jango Chan and Treasurer Dr Yu WANG is delighted to sign our MoU with American Society of Civll Engineeers Greater China in the presence of Zhen Leng, President, Kaimin Shih, Immediate Past President, Xiaowei Deng, Secretary, Xiaowei Luo, Treasurer.

Zoom Meeting with HKIE

On 18 May 2022, the President of International Experts, Dr. Raymond HM Leung leading VP Denys Look, VP Sr. Jango Chan and Secretary General Simon Lee held a Zoom meeting wiith the President of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Ir Edwin Chung Kwok-fai and Davis Wong to discuss a professional development for dispute resolution, which will have mutual interest to both members of IIE and HKIE.

Signing Ceremony for MOU between HKICM and IIE

Institute of International Experts is delighted to sign our MoU with Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers on April 7 in the presence of the core HKICM’s leadership team, President Cr Conrad FUNG, VP Cr Terence MANG, VP Cr Billy LEE, Hon Treasurer Cr Perry LO, Events Organizing Committee Chairman Cr Alfred TANG and IIE’s President Cr Prof LEUNG Hai Ming, Raymond, Vice President Sr Jango Chan, Treasurer Dr Yu WANG, as well as Council Members Cr TANG Chi Wang, Mr Jeff CHEUNG and Cr Daniel SHUM. The MoU is aimed at providing a good platform to exchange updates and identify collaborative partnerships in the pursuit of the new normal for professionals in the post-pandemic economy. HKICM and IIE pledge to maintain collaborative partnership and cooperation in the areas of knowledge sharing, continuous professional development, business trade missions, and technical site visits in Hong Kong and beyond.
